A big vinaka vakalevu (thank you!) to one of our current volunteers, Sophie Tennison and her father, David, for donating much needed equipment to our sports initiatives in Fiji. Ever since Sophie first enquired about joining an expedition to Fiji many months ago, she was passionate about assisting the sports projects beyond offering her time to volunteer. With the help of her father, David, we were delighted to see her arrive at Heathrow on departure day with an additional (and gigantic!) bag packed full of much needed and fantasic quality rugby kit including cones and bibs (expensive and difficult to acquire in Fiji). These have been, and will continue to be, such a great assistance to the daily coaching sessions of youth and adult teams on Moturiki. It’s always amazing to see our volunteers go the extra mile to assist. Here are a few photos for the Tennison family to enjoy seeing their kit in full use!
