Background

ARUKA Fiji (ARUKA a Hebrew name meaning Healing and restoration) is a social positive network that engages Counsellors / Social Workers and Youth Development personnel, Accredited with Australian and New Zealand Qualifications. Our Inception in 2019 during COVID-19 allowed us to respond and provide Psychological and psycho-social support for needy and grieving widows thus providing Advocacy and support (Safety, security, Health, Employment & Educational support) for Abandoned teens that are either street Kids and teen Sex Workers.

What are your Mission, Vision & Values?

Mission
To restore hope to the homeless children, sex workers, and the destitute who have been affected by poverty, abuse, and violence.

Vision
To empower and improve the livelihoods of homeless children, sex workers, and the destitute through appropriate and alternative assistance.

What Are Your Long Term Aims?

To provide an inclusive change towards homeless children, sex workers and the disadvantaged by proposing training and empowerment and introduction to life changing inventions.

 

What Are Your Long Term Aims & Vision for Fiji?

We strive to be agents of change that influences positive outcomes in the lives of all our needy widows and abandoned teens as in street kids and teen sex workers. This providing quality services through these pillars:

Pillar 1 – ( Psychological & Psycho-social Support)
Pillar 2 – (Empathetic Services deliverable for Humanity)
Pillar 3 – (Capacity Building)
Pillar 4 – Volunteerism Program, Advocacy & Referral.

Specific Objectives
The Organizations shall have the following specific objectives:
1. To organize resources and establish educational opportunities for vulnerable children, teenagers and the disadvantaged.
2. To arrange a home for homeless children and make sure they are safe, healthy and are free from violence.
3. To provide counseling services targeted at restoring families and marriage disputes.
4. To promote employment opportunities and train children, teenagers and widows on health and social issues and pastoral training.
5. To support community-led programs that prohibit discrimination in society.
6. To organize volunteer programs that may benefit teenagers.
7. Be a rights defender for all marginalized people in society.
8. Creating Income generating programs that benefit the grassroots communities
9. Be a secretariat for regional peace works through social positive and youth dialogue
9. Strengthen networking and collaboration of Stakeholders
10. Being the voice for the less fortunate members of society
