Global Travel Bursaries Available

There are grants available from the Global Team at De Montfort University, via the UK Government’s Turing Scheme.

  • Financial support ranges from £480-£2350.
  • Amount depends on participant’s circumstances, including household income.
Application Process
  1. Apply to the DMU Application Process (Link to follow when applications open in January 2024).
  2. Successful applicants will then be sent to Think Pacific to confirm their place and begin preparation.
  3. Apply to Think Pacific.
  4. Arrange a call with a Think Pacific team member to reserve a programme date.

Youth Empowerment Project in Fiji 🇫🇯
1-Month Project - 24th June - 21st July

Become a member of a Fijian family and work within a team whilst contributing to sustainable development initiatives that support the achievement of the Fiji National Development Plan.

Our projects in Fiji are truly unique. They take place in rural communities which are a world away from the usual crowds and the average volunteer projects. The villages in Fiji are only accessible upon invitation by the chief only, which means you can sample a way of life that few people will ever be fortunate enough to see.

Immersive Cultural Exchange

Volunteering Redefined

Live in a traditional village, become a member of a Fijian family and work alongside a Fijian youth groups (aged 18-35) as you explore local and global issues together. Develop cross-cultural skills and discuss solutions to achieve key aspects of Fiji’s National Development Plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Whether you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience or to enhance your studies, on a Think Pacific project you can;

Join Our Global Team Internship in Bali 🇮🇩
1-Month Project - 24th June - 21st July

Our projects in Bali offer you the opportunity to supercharge your CV by completing a professional internship or placement for our inspiring partners, which includes a collection of hand-picked local NGOs, businesses and social enterprises.

Whilst living in a traditional Balinese village and immersing into the local culture, you can complete an internship for partners across a range of sectors.

During the placement, you will have the incredible opportunity to live in a traditional Balinese village with a team of fellow students, whilst supporting our hand-picked network of Bali-based businesses, social enterprises and charities to develop practical and sustainable solutions to current challenges.
