Workshop 1 – 10am = Mindset & Briefing
- Introduction to your Global Education program with Think Pacific.
- The mindset for success in your Internship Experience.
- Goal setting.
Workshop 2 – 1pm = Understanding Fiji & the South Pacific
- An exploration of Fiji’s history, culture and customs.
- Present day and mindset.
- How to gain a local perspective.
- Immersive and fun modules/ live sessions and videos – language, food, dancing, tradition.
Workshop 1 – 10am = Background to Business in Fiji
- Learn the basics about Business in Fiji
- How do the UN Sustainable Dev Goals and the Fiji National Development Plan link to Business and the Economy in the Fiji Islands?
Workshop 2 – 1pm = Exploring the Challenges
- Real life challenges are introduced which are relative to your degree programme. You will be placed in groups and given a challenge to tackle together.
Workshop 1 – 7pm = Perspectives From Business Leaders in Fiji.
- Learn from a local entrepreneurs and business leaders in Fiji.
- Discussion topics include: The history of business in Fiji, The future of business in Fiji, key policy and practices in Fiji, business successes in Fiji. Business challenges in Fiji, How does Fiji compare globally? How has COVID-19 has impacted business in Fiji.
Workshop 1 – 10am = Skills Series + How to Complete Your Project
- Workshop exploring remote working skills such as self-leadership, resilience, time management.
- Presentation & Zoom skills.
- Project based skills such as creating a marketing plan, business plan, etc
Workshop 2 – 1pm = Group Project Work
- Students arrange group Zoom meetings to begin project work.
- Students begin to prepare their 10-minute presentation
Workshop 1 – 10am = Global Challenge Project Work
- Students continue to work in groups to discuss, form opinions and create solutions.
Workshop 2 – 2pm = Group Presentation
- Each group provides a 10 minute presentation.
Workshop 3 – 3pm = Group Debrief / Summary
- Summary of key ideas and long term reflections gained from Fiji.
- How to utilise your internship experience to increase employability.
